We?re counting down the months of what is set to be one of the most eagerly anticipated model launches in Volvo?s history. Making its world debut in September 2006 at the Paris Motorshow, the Volvo C30 is a sleek, modern looking sporty four seat Coupe that has drawn its heritage from the Volvo safety car concept first proposed in 2002.
With its glass tailpipe, sloping roofline, and dynamic front end characterized by the angled headlamps, the low wide grilled C30 will no doubt stamp its mark on the sports coupe market. Well-defined wheel arches over 19 inch aluminium wheels and 4 pot Brembo aluminium brakes give the C30 all the control and stopping powered needed to handle 2.4 litre turbocharged engine. With 260 horsepower available and a six speed manual gearbox, the new Volvo C30 is certainly going to be leading the way, wherever you drive.
The Volvo C30 interior reinforces the sporty character with individual rear seats offering generous legroom to provide luxury room for four full seat passengers. Both rear seats have been moved slightly inward to give the passengers a sense of space and good visibility forward, and with rear luggage space behind the glass tailgate designed for everyday loads, the C30 can transform itself by way of folding rear seats to accommodate a larger load as and when required.
