In developing the Evolution X, improving performance and handling was an imperative as for Mitsibishi. The new Lancer concept car is powered by a Turbo charged, 2.0 litre four-cylinder DOHC MIVEC engine, and has an improved power to weight ratio and body rigidity.
Continuing the trend set by its ancestors, the new Concept Evolution X looks spectacular. The profile of the vehicle is a pleasing combination of penetrating, sharp, aerodynamic lines and muscular front-end swells. The interior is neat and functional, and oozes twenty-first century aesthetic.
The Evolution X’s poise and appearance are further accentuated by a lower centre of gravity and overall profile. The expansive front air dam and honeycomb inlet grilles hint at the purposeful nature of the powerful new power-plant, and the rear airfoil sets of a tidy, handsomely-configured tail.
Technology improvements abound in the superb new Evolution X, with Super All Wheel Control (S-AWC) incorporating Active Brake Control, Active Steering System and Mitsubishi Motors’ “Roll Control Suspension” technology for a more stable and surer ride than ever before.
Alto Mitsubishi have seen the near future of the all-wheel drive four-cylinder performance sports vehicle, and it is the Mitsubishi Evolution X.
